APPROACH
The film was shot primarily in Sony S-Cinetone, with additional footage from iPhones, Nikon cameras, and drone material. Because the look was mostly established in-camera, the grade focused on supporting the existing visual direction and keeping the film consistent across different source formats.
For interviews and other shots where the footage was in a fairly good place, the work was mostly refinement: balancing exposure and temperature, softening harsh highlights, and giving the image a slightly smoother finish.
Shot on iPhone
For scenes with a wider mix of camera sources, the director chose one anchor shot as the reference, and the surrounding shots were matched to it so the sequence stayed visually consistent.
