I began grading in 2018 while making my own short films. Most were shot in natural light and uncontrolled environments, with all the unpredictability that comes with documentary and independent filmmaking. Every project taught me something new about finding balance, consistency, and emotion in the footage. Some of these involved matching footage captured on everything from iPhones to cinema cameras. Many of the films I work on are deeply personal projects that have taken years to make.
